Q: Should retailers keep, reposition, or replace an older trolley speaker model when upgrading their product range?

A: The amount of old stock you hold and the cash tied up in it is the first thing to check. Whether any region or distributor is still actively ordering this model shows if real demand is still there. Where the new model is priced decides whether it will clash with the old model’s price band. Running two models at once means double the work on spare parts, after-sales, and SKUs. Whether the old model’s certification is still valid determines if it can be sold in stricter markets like the EU and US.
